In and around Arrecife many of the large supermarket chains are available, but also in smaller and medium-sized towns are supermarkets, where your purchase will be welcome by sure.
Eating:
Of course fish! Highly recommended are the restaurants in Arrieta, Punta Mujeres and Orzola offering fresh fish of the day. But also in El Golfo and Playa Quemada you can enjoy delicious fresh fish of the island.
Shopping:
Shopping centers in Lanzarote are available in Teguise, Costa Teguise, Arrecife and Playa Honda, as well as in Puerto del Carmen
Markets:
On Saturdays in Haría, arts and handycraft market, 10AM - 2PM. On Sundays in Teguise, 10AM - 2PM. Fridays in Costa Teguise in Pueblo Marinero, 6PM - 10PM.
Excursions:
For island trips it's in any case advisable to have a hired car to discover the beauty of the island on your own. Car hire is very cheap on Lanzarote, and the vehicle can be brought to your accommodation. Prior reservation is highly recommended, especially during the high season in Lanzarote! Tourism:
The tourism on Lanzarote has not reached the level of Gran Canaria and Tenerife by far, and meanwhile Fuerteventura also has increased it's tourist frequency a lot during the last years, Lanzarote is still beautiful quiet and cozy. The major tourist resorts on Lanzarote are Costa Teguise, Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca.
